Background
I completed a Ba(hons) in sculpture in 2001 at The Winchester School of Art and took a break from making for some years. Having been on various courses over the years I had arrived at a significant point...I needed a break. Throughout most of my studying I had been battling an ailment called M.E. which was very unpredictable so I needed to pay more attention to my health..
In 2007 I am pleased to say I rekindled my interest in the visual arts specifically 2d work. I began the year working through images using silk screens. This proved a worthy time as it confrmed my love for linear shapes. I soon discovered that the process of printing although enjoyable was not immediate enough for me. It would be fair to say my work has taken many twists and turns over the last year and only in the last month have I found a way of working that feels right.
I aim to exhibit more and more in the next year whilst at the same time I am building a portfolio to support an application for an Ma in Drawing or Digital media.
